Theprocess of connecting a 3rd-party camera directly is slightly trickier though as the 3rd-party cameras will not support the auto-assign/Plug & Play feature of the Hikvision cameras, this means you first have to add the 3rd-party camera to your network using a PoE switch or Injector and then change the cameras IP address to match the subnet
Inthe DVR camera management screen, click on " Custom Adding ". In the next screen just add your IP camera information as shown below: As you can see in the picture above, I have included the following information: IP camera Address: . Protocol: ONVIF. Management port: 8899. Transfer protocol: Auto. Username: admin.
Atfirst I thought it might just be resizing the sub stream, but on comparison of a snapshot from the camera itself and the NVR, it appears to be the real deal. Click to expand 101 will get the main stream; 102 will get the substream.
